Clear scope. Verifiable sources.

DrugHub Research Library is an independent educational project. We explain substances, pharmacology, neuroscience, safety, and policy through sourced information and explicit evidence limits.

Mission

Why this library exists

Public conversations about substances are often shaped by anecdotes, sensational headlines, commercial incentives, and incomplete context. DrugHub offers a different starting point: a calm, readable reference that separates what is known from what is uncertain.

Our work is intended for readers, educators, journalists, researchers, and people looking for reliable public-health context. It is not a marketplace, a treatment provider, or a substitute for professional advice.

Editorial position: Insight, not involvement. We study and explain information; we do not facilitate access, purchasing, or unlawful activity.
Method

How information is selected

  1. Start with the question. Define the claim, population, outcome, and jurisdiction before selecting sources.
  2. Prefer primary evidence. Use systematic reviews, clinical guidance, regulatory documents, public-health agencies, and original research where available.
  3. Label uncertainty. Distinguish established findings, emerging evidence, preliminary work, and unresolved questions.
  4. Keep context visible. Explain study design, population, date, limitations, and whether a finding is associative or causal.
  5. Review and correct. Material concerns are checked against stronger sources and recorded with a date.

When sources conflict, we do not hide the disagreement. We explain the likely reasons: different methods, populations, exposure patterns, follow-up periods, or definitions.
